Analysing two main types of wind turbine; horizontal-axis wind turbine (HAWT) and vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT). Where HAWT allows win from one direction, and VAWT allows wind from all directions. The generator of HAWT is on top of its tower, and requires higher energy of wind, while VAWT's generator in on the ground; have better access to maintenance, and requires lower wind energy to work.
Moreover, there are various types of offshore foundation for wind turbine depending on deepness of water level.
This part of the project is for us to study an instrument that we will be using to imply on our design on our design on an amphibious habitat on the next phase.
