This drawing is the analysis based on the wave energy converters. Machines can be categorized into 3 main types by observing their behaviors to the water wave direction. As my amphibious structure design cannot be achieved without having a good connection or joints to make it survive in the amphibious condition, I am focusing on how each system actually works with their joints in order to convert water wave energy into some useful energy such as electricity. And this research can be used as the guideline to further develop my design to be more efficient joints and system.
This blog documents a parallel design studio between ETSA, Madrid and INDA, Bangkok, during the academic year of 2015-16.
The topic of this collaboration is Amphibious Architecture - a research in the context of wetlands situated in both countries.
